    Footprints

One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach
with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes
from his life. For each scene he noticed there
was two sets of footprints in the sand.  He
noticed that many times along the path of his
life there was only one set of footprints. He also
noticed that it happened at the very lowest and
    saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he asked the Lord
about it. "Lord, you said that once I decided to
follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But
I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times of my life, there is only one set
of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed
you most, you would leave me."

The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you. During
your times of trial and suffering, when you saw
only one set of footprints, it was then
    that I carried you."

  • I haven't told any story's from my childhood for awhile. So I want to post a picture of me and Rascal and his grave.   My hero cat the last story I told and start a new story I'm not a good speller or writer I drop out of school when I was 16 but I try.

He was and is remember and loved my Rascal

    New story

Back to the days when we lived on the pike from birth till ten and then some.  My Uncles lived there till I was thirteen when the highway took it and my uncles had to move.  I remember weather permitting and after Sunday school we walk in the woods every Sunday.  My mom, aunt Wilma, uncle John brother and I.  Ladybug our 3 legged dog,Rascal and a few other cat's off we'd go. We always had fun,we'd see ground squirrel's and all kinds of wildlife and wild flowers of all colors. I love the white may apples, first flower we see in spring. After are walks we come home and sit on the porch and rest.  Then  mom and aunt Wilma would make dinner.  We'd eat Sunday dinner out side in warm weather corn on cob fried chicken mash potatoes gravy biscuits and cake, pie or ice cream for desert.  My uncles would have a radio with the baseball game on  the wind blowing so gentle, warm safe comforting.  HOME I was HOME the creek flowing tinkling always tinkling we had a creek on each side and we crossed a bridge to come up the lane I wish I could help you see it in your head as I do I can almost smell the sweet grass and feel the dew on my toes.  I can see the darkness so dark only stars and lighting bugs aka fireflies flashing. It was oh so quiet you can hear the leafs swaying and touching each other in the trees as the gentle breeze blows crickets and whipper wills the sent of honey suckle I sure miss the good old days and the times I felt and was safe.

This was one of my summer memory's also lots of swimming in the creek in a pool that my mom built a dam of sowed and stones  to make it deep enough for us to swim, later it was the public pool or the Ohio River and lots of fishing . Those were the day's.

    Thank's for stopping God Bless

    AMERICA, WHY I LOVE HER

    Narrated by John Wayne

You ask me Why I Love Her?
Well, give me time and I'll explain.
Have you seen a Kansas sunset
     Or an Arizona rain?
Have you drifted on a bayou
    Down Louisiana way?

Have you watched a cold fog drifting
    Over San Francisco Bay?
Have you heard a bobwhite calling
    In the Carolina pines,

Or heard the bellow of a diesel
     At the Appalachia mines?
Does the call of Niagara thrill you
When you hear her waters roar?

Do you look with awe and wonder
     At her Massachusetts shore,
Where men who braved a hard new world
    First stepped on Plymouth's rock?
And do you think of them when you stroll
Along a New York City dock?
Have you seen a snowflake drifting
In the Rockies, way up high?

Have you seen the sun come blazing down
     From a bright Nevada sky?
Do you hail to the Columbia
As she rushes to the sea,
Or bow your head at Gettysburg
At our struggle to be free?
Have you seen the mighty Tetons?
Have you watched an eagle soar?
    Have you seen the Mississippi
    Roll along Missouri's shore?

Have you felt a chill at Michigan
     When on a winter's day
Her waters rage along the shore
     In thunderous display?
Does the word "Aloha" make you warm?
    Do you stare in disbelief
    When you see the surf
Come roaring in at Waimea Reef?
From Alaska's cold to the Everglades,

From the Rio Grande to Maine,
My heart cries out, my pulse runs fast
At the might of her domain.
You ask me Why I Love Her?
    I've a million reasons why:
    My Beautiful America,
    Beneath God's wide, wide sky

                Happy 4 of July

  • Today I lost two of the greatest loves of my life .

24 years ago my Uncle John who was

also my dad ofter my daddy died when I was 8.

And My man ,myfriend ,my lover

my heart Frank gone 9 years today and

I'm still in love with him ALWAYS

    I Still Feel Your Love

I know you’re gone from this earth
You left me way too soon
But I feel your love every time
I gaze up at the moon.

    Sometimes I think I hear
    A whisper in the wind
It sounds as if you’ve called my name
As your love to me you send.

Sometimes I do a silly thing
And your laughter fills my ears
I know you’re right here with me
But I can’t see you through my tears.

I felt your hand upon my shoulder
And I quickly turned to see
    Visible... you were not
But I know you’re here with me.

In the night you sometime come
    To visit in my dreams
My hands go out to touch you
But you’re just out of reach it seems.

For just a flash you appear
    Standing close to me
    Is it just my imagination
Or is it really you I see.

Even though you’re gone from me
And you watch me from above
    I long for you everyday…
And I still feel your love.

    ~ Charlotte Anselmo ~

When all is said, when all is done,
I will remember you with love.
When all is said, when all is done,
You will be in my heart forever.
    I will remember you...
    Remember you with love.

  • Daddy's Bible

Daddy has left us, his life's work done.
Only one thing leaving, to me, his son.
It is his old Bible, all tattered and torn.
Each page is wrinkled, soiled or worn.

Its condition, atrocious, but not from abuse,
It happened through time, with frequent use.
From cover to cover, each page was read.
You can tell he loved it, by the life he led.

Many words are circled, verses underlined.
In the margins, other thoughts you will find.
Much time in reading, and study was spent,
Learning what was written, and just what it meant.

No greater treasure, could I possess,
Than that old Bible. I am so blessed.
Its condition has gone, from bad to worse,
As I've considered each note and underlined verse.

It now holds a place among precious things,
Not for its beauty, but for the memories it brings.
Every Daddy should follow his example and leave,
A worn out Bible, to which his son can cleave.

No greater blessing, could a man bestow,
Than a knowledge of a Savior, who loves us so.
Now that I know him, and his promises, won.
What more can I say, but, "Thanks Dad"
    -With love, Your Son.
